Mike used to live across the road from me when I was a child. He was (and still is) a couple of years younger than me, so as we went through school we didn't have a lot of contact. I found his name on the Friends Reunited web site, and he kindly invited me to stay the night at his place in Keswick.

The photos we took in the evening are a bit out of focus - perhaps because of the wine, and the whisky - but the pictures taken the following day are good. Mike and his wife Sally live in a beautiful house overlooking the River Greta, and their living room is below road level, just above the river. And high over the top of all of this is a bridge carrying the A66 highway. Makes for some spectacular photos.
